On this 103rd edition of The Arlington-Prospect Advice Givers Podcast. Matt Eggemeyer, of Keats Mfg., presents his case as to why more young people need to explore the possibility of a career in manufacturing. In this college driven society we live in, there are alternatives for our kids. An alternative kids may love due to the advances in technology. You will feel Matt’s passion and mission in this information packed interview.
Parents, there is service announcement we would like to make. There are more options than a college education for your children. We don’t have to live in a one size fits all education system. With the student loan crisis hitting epoch proportions, we want you to know, there is an alternative. High paying careers are available in the ever changing manufacturing industry.
Matt Eggemeyer, of Keats MFG., and his 28 years of experience in the manufacturing profession, is debunking the myth that manufacturing is a get your hands dirty kind of job. After seeing this dynamic individual speaking at a district 214 breakfast, I knew we needed him on the Podcast. “Manufacturing is not a job, it is a career. A career that can be very lucrative for people who have a passion.” Matt says.
Matt’s passion for growing his business over the years has morphed into a passion to educate young people. His involvement in district 214’s internship program is a breath of fresh air. Now, more than ever, we are in need of more manufactures, like Matt, who have a passion to educate you people. There are amazing opportunities for high school graduates. They just need to be willing to try a life in manufacturing.
If you have a son or daughter, who would be interested in a career in manufacturing be sure to tune in. Keats Mfg. has internships available through district 214.
