On this 46th edition of the podcast is Greg Harner, Founder of Hoodie Hoop and a member of the Incubator EDU entrepreneurs program at Buffalo High School. Greg Harner and his four partners set out to solve an everyday problem we have encountered at one time in our lives. Draw strings seem to always get caught in our shorts, hood, pants and the list goes on… As Greg says “Making everyday annoyances easier for everyday life was our goal.” Hoodie Hoop has done just that. Greg Harner and his partners examplify what an entrepreneur is all about. They have taken their IDEA, turned it into a product, and have fit it into the marketplace. The product has gone over so well, they can’t keep up with the demand.
Hoodie Hoop came to fruition when Greg and his partners joined the Incubator EDU program at Buffalo Grove High School. The Incubator is an entrepreneurial program dedicated to teaching kids the principles of starting and running a business. As Greg Harner said “Monetary gain is a byproduct of entrepreneurs who are truly motivated to benefit society and to solve larger issues.” This is what entrepreneurs are all about. Solving our problems. We need to support our local businesses so these great people can continue to give back to us.
Go out and get yourself a Hoodie Hoop today. Your kids are going to need this more than once in the coming years. It’s ease of use is what we are looking for. I should know because I own a Hoodie Hoop myself. These kids of the Incubator EDU program are amazing individuals. They are the future of our country and communities. Let’s support them in anyway we can.
