On this 68th edition of the podcast, Dr. Mindy March of March Animal Hospital is my guest. Dr. March grew up loving animals and always had the desire to treat them. In 1994 she opened up the animal hospital in Arlington Heights in a little office on Northwest Highway. Fast forward 23 years, and a new beautiful office on Central, Dr. Mindy’s vision of animal care has come to fruition.
It was 1994 when Dr. Mindy March opened March Animal Hospital. Being a single parent, at the time, to her 5-year-old daughter, she was terrified to start the practice. With bills, a mortgage, and a new business to to get off the ground, times were scary. As an employee after attending veterinarian school at The University of Illinois, Dr. March felt she could provide better care for her furry little patients. The decision to open the practice was a no brainer. With the great Veterinarians and staff in place, March Animal hospital is a welcoming environment for all of its patients.
In the interview, Dr. March explains how we can keep our pets around a long time. Providing a good consistent environment will keep our pets happy and healthy. Something we all desire for our little loved ones. She believes the way to a healthy pet is consistency. That means serving your pet a steady diet of food, fresh water, exams, and proper vaccinations. As Dr. March says, “The more you fuss with your pets food, the fussier they will get over what they eat.”
Dr. Mindy March also recommends you regularly examine your pets for a number of different reasons. At March Animal Hospital, one of the Veterinarians on staff will guide you on how to look for anything unusual with your pet. Knowing this is crucial in the prevention of any issues with your loved one. There are many common mistakes, we as pet owners make when it concerns their medical care. Dr. March touches on the two kind of pet owners in the world. Tune in to hear which you fall under. Let us know what category you fall under?
I can speak from experience about how awesome March Animal Hospital treats their patients. Dr.Priest took care of our cat Oliver a couple of months back. Oliver was on the verge of getting a serious eye infection that if not treated could have been bad. So it was important that we bring him in for an examination. Dr. Priest had just the treatment plan our cat needed. Jenn and I would like to thank everyone at March Animal Hospital for the care you provided. Keep up the great work!
